At the Bitcoin 2025 conference, Tron founder Justin Sun talked about how much Donald Trump supports Bitcoin and crypto. Sun said Trump has been very important for the crypto world and that Bitcoin wouldn’t have gone over $100,000 without Trump’s help.
Sun also said that Trump’s support is a big deal for the entire crypto industry. Last year, after Trump won the election against Kamala Harris, Bitcoin jumped over the $100,000 mark for the first time ever.
Justin Sun Attended Trump’s Crypto Dinner
Justin Sun went to a special dinner hosted by Trump for crypto leaders. He was invited because he holds a lot of the TRUMP meme coin. Before that, Sun also put $75 million into a company called World Liberty Financial (WLFI), which has ties to Trump.
Trump Wants the U.S. to Lead in Bitcoin
President Trump recently said that the U.S. is leading in Bitcoin and crypto, and he wants to keep it that way. He even signed an executive order to build a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. At the conference, Trump’s Executive Director of Digital Assets said the U.S. is working to become the top Bitcoin power in the world.
New Bitcoin Law Coming Soon
Senator Cynthia Lummis, who supports Bitcoin, said the BITCOIN Act will be talked about in the U.S. Senate next week. This law is part of Trump’s plan to make the U.S. the center of crypto.
If the law passes, the U.S. government will buy 1 million BTC over five years for the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The Senate is also looking at a Stablecoin bill, which may become the first big crypto rulebook in the country.
Senator Lummis also said Trump supports the BITCOIN Act and will sign it into law. She shared that the U.S. already holds about 200,000 BTC, but the exact number is not public because of a White House audit.
